For those that didn't know, our father sadly died on the 15th February unexpectedly from a DVT (deep vein thrombosis) in his leg that then travelled to his lung causing a pulmonary embolism (PE). He had taken to his bed with what he thought was the flu which in turn was actually pneumonia. 
Our wonderful dad had actually spoken to a GP the morning he died who wanted to call him an ambulance to check him over as he was sounding short of breath. However our father adamantly declined stating that other people were in more need than him. He was found hours later in his bed looking peaceful. He didn't want to bother anyone and downplayed how unwell he was and how long he had been bedridden. As always his selflessness shone through even to his last moments.
